The initial TAPP pilot is available at

The TAPP pilot program is now available at seven locations throughout New Jersey. The stations are located at 33 Street, Grove Street, Harrison, Hoboken, Journal Square, Newark, and World Trade Center. The pilot program is designed to test the feasibility of using autonomous vehicles to provide public transportation. The vehicles are equipped with sensors and cameras that allow them to navigate the roads without human input.

The pilot program is being conducted by NJ Transit and the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The program will run for one year and will evaluate the safety, efficiency, and public acceptance of autonomous vehicles. If the pilot program is successful, NJ Transit may expand the program to other locations in the state.

Stations are closed daily from 11:59 PM - 5 AM for maintenance-related activity. Please use Christopher St, 14 St, or 33 St. Connect to Amtrak and NJ Transit rail lines at Newark. The train departs from Newark which features a unique two-level boarding system.
