Spain Impresses with Comfortable Victory
Spain started their UEFA Euro 2024 campaign with an impressive 1-0 victory over Italy at VELTINS-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The match, which was broadcast live on ESPN, saw Spain dominate possession and create numerous scoring opportunities.
The only goal of the game came in the 65th minute, when Ferran Torres headed home a cross from Jordi Alba. Italy had chances to equalize, but they were denied by the excellent saves of Spain goalkeeper Unai Simon.
The victory gives Spain a strong start to the tournament, while Italy must now bounce back from the disappointing result. The two teams will meet again in the group stage on June 14.
